Happy 2012! 

The first few months of the new year were spent in California, working on some new songs with Jason Quever (of Papercuts) at his Pan American Recording Studios in San Francisco, as well as some time in Oakland, just down the street from Pandora Media, inspiring lots of Pandora listening. March was spent in the High Desert and on the scenic route back to the Midwest.

Festival Season
August, 2011
With Spring came festival season. Anna participated in the 2nd annual Midwest Music Fest in Winona, MN, in March, and had gigs at Brat Fest and Ride The Drive in Madison before a reunion of music friends at Ragged Roots Revival in July (see photo, below). She performed for the first time at the WI State Fair in August and will head out for the 1st annual Rootstalk Festival in Salem, OR, in September. 

Brooklyn Times
October, 2010
Anna flew out to Brooklyn meet up with former Madisonian, Leo Sidran, to do some recording at Let 'Em In Studios. Joined by the talented Sam Bardfeld, Alan Hampton, and Nadim Issa, they had a great session during a beautiful NYC autumn weekend. And there was no need to even leave the borough: Manhattan, we'll hit you up next time.



People-Powered Music
August, 2010
In August, Anna performed at Ride The Drive at the Capitol Square, a community event promoting bicycling in Madison. Lance Armstrong opened the day, and the stage was entirely human-powered by stationary bicyclists (see below).

Anna took a trip out to California to perform at the Central Park Summer Music Series in San Mateo for this great crowd of summertime folks.




Mad Town

Anna Laube has been nominated and is a finalist for her first ever MAMA (Madison Area Music Award) in the category "Specialty Instrument" (harmonica). Please vote for her and at the same time do a good deed (your $5 donation goes towards music education for kids).

New Record -  Please review!

The new album, Pool All The Love * Pool All The Knowledge, is out and the first batch of reviews are in. The San Francisco Bay Guardian did a piece on their blog, Noise, ("Her voice is an alluringly warm, friendly instrument - sweet without becoming cloying, tender and heartfelt and rich from just a hint of a soft husky purr...") and it also got little shout outs from The Onion (in Madison and San Francisco) and the East Bay Express, as well as some other great papers and mags. They're here under Press Reviews.

But the "unofficial" reviewers (that means you!) are just as important. Now that many of you have had a chance to listen to your copy of the new album for a little while, it would help out immensely if you would be willing to go over to iTunes, CD Baby, or Amazon (or your favorite online music site) and post your own review of the album.
